Gretna is a small rural community in the province of Manitoba, Canada. It is located approximately 80 kilometers southwest of the city of Brandon, and is part of the Municipality of WestLake-Gladstone. The community was founded in the late 19th century as a railway town, and has a rich agricultural history. Gretna is home to several annual events, including the Corn and Apple Festival and the Winterfest celebration. It also has a number of amenities, such as a community centre, a library, and a health clinic. The population of Gretna is around 600 people, and the main languages spoken are English and Low German.
